Players who have never lost when scoring a Premier League goal

Here is the list of Premier League players whose goals are lucky charms for their teams, having never lost when they have scored.

1. James Milner - Liverpool & England

The industrious veteran is recognised for his work rate and longevity rather than his goalscoring form. However, he has scored in 54 games across spells at Leeds United, Manchester City and Liverpool and is currently unbeaten when he has found the back of the net. In those 54 games he has 43 wins and 11 draws. He hasn't added to that impressive run for over three seasons in the Premier League, with no goals in 72 appearances.

2. Gabriel Jesus - Arsenal & Brazil

Is it any coincidence that Arsenal are on course for their first Premier League title in 19 years, after signing lucky charm Gabriel Jesus from rivals Manchester City. The 26 year old striker has scored in 53 games, never tasting defeat when he has scored. It's no wonder his long-term injury sustained at the World Cup with Brazil was so concerning for Mikel Arteta's side, and they will be desperate his return will see goalscoring form that can propel the club to a strong finish in the title race.

3. Darius Vassell -

The retired former Aston Villa, Manchester City and Leicester City striker finished his career scoring in 46 games and never tasting defeat. He managed 36 wins and 10 draws; which is a remarkable feat given his 13 years in the top flight between 1998 to 2012. His most successful period was at Aston Villa where his form earnt him a place at the 2002 World Cup and 2004 European Championship for England.

4. Diogo Jota - Liverpool & Portugal

The 26 year old forward was a perfect signing to fit Jurgen Klopp's counter-attacking system when he joined Liverpool for £50m in 2020. He has scored 24 goals in two Premier League seasons with the Reds and currently he has never lost in the 33 games he has scored in during his career. Unfortunately, for Liverpool the Portuguese attacker is enduring a barren spell this season, with no goals in 13 appearances which could be a reason why Klopp's side are struggling for form.

5. Salomon Kalou -

Spending six decorative seasons at Chelsea the Ivorian scored in 32 games and was never defeated, winning 29 games and drawing three. It's no wonder he has such an impressive record playing in a formidable Chelsea side, where he lifted one Premier League title under Carlo Ancelotti and the illustrious Champions League in 2012.

6. Oyvind Leohandsen -

The former serial Premier League midfielder, spent seasons at Wimbeldon, Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa in the top flight. He managed to score in 28 games without defeat during his nine years in England, winning 21 and drawing in seven.
